Marketing and Fundraising Manager

We are seeking part-time, enthusiastic and tenacious individual to take on the role of Marketing and Fundraising  Manager.   This is a job share of 3 days per week (22.5 hours) with the option to be full-time for a period of maternity cover from April 2019.

You will be responsible for developing  and delivering  the fundraising activities of the charity as well as marketing the charity’s various services.  This is an exciting and challenging role for someone with fundraising and marketing skills across both strategy and implementation.


  • Prepare annual fundraising strategy plan to maximise Fundraising Events, Community and Corporate support and Trust donations
  • Prepare and deliver a calendar of effective fundraising events, activities and campaigns.
  • Recruit, manage and organise volunteer and supporter network.
  • Develop strategy and delivery of corporate partnerships including approach of prospects and conversion to partners.
  • Develop relationships with fundraising community based organisations including schools, rotary and service clubs.
  • Preparation of marketing plan to raise awareness of the charity and promote its services through online and offline activities including; Press releases, Talks to local groups, mail shots and printed material, social media content co-ordination, website content updates and newsletter production.
  • Preparation and management of fundraising and marketing budgets.
  • Co-ordinate the general donations received by the Trust including donation of goods, money and services.

The candidate:  The ideal candidate must have  the ability to develop and deliver innovative and effective fundraising ideas, able to network and deliver compelling presentations whilst being an approachable, well organised self- starter.

  • Proven achievement of fundraising targets in similar role
  • Proven track record of delivering successful events
  • Strong and persuasive presentation skills
  • IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress and Social media
  • Be self motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • 6 weeks holiday per year (including bank holidays) FTE
  • Salary £24,999 FTE
  • 22.5 hours per week. Possibility of rising to 37.5 to cover a period of maternity leave.

Housekeeping Teamleader

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, energetic individual to take responsibility for one of the key roles within our Centre. We pride ourselves on the warm welcome and support we provide to our visitors. You will put client care and well-being at the heart of everything you do ensuring visitors receive a positive impression of our Centre by providing a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities.

You will be responsible for;

  • Supervising and undertaking the cleaning of the client, public and staff areas of the Centre to maintain a safe and pleasant environment
  • Coordinating cleaning for our residential changeover periods
  • Ensuring all laundry is processed in a timely manner
  • Liaising with residential groups to meet requirements regarding housekeeping
  • Ensure waste management is dealt with in accordance with H&S regulations
  • Maintaining stock levels of consumables within budget
  • Using cleaning agents in accordance with COSHH instructions

You will have undertaken work of a similar nature previously and have a good working knowledge of the care environment.
Must be prepared to work flexible hours including weekends.
Up to 30 hours per week
Driving Licence essential due to location.
Prepared to supply accurate details for Disclosure and Barring service checks.

Volunteer Marketing Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated individual to help our Marketing Manager deliver the charity’s marketing and fundraising activities.

  • Help with the production of content for our website, BLOG, newsletters and social media channels
  • Maintain our CRM system
  • Get involved with community and event fundraising
  • Help with corporate partnership research
  • Would suit a student looking for work experience
  • Must have a friendly and helpful personality
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Publisher and Mailchimp would be useful

Volunteer Minute Taker

We are looking for an experienced minute-taker to assist the Chairman, Trustees and General Manager with efficient minute-taking.

Key duties

  • Take accurate and thorough minutes during Trustee meetings
  • Type up draft minutes promptly after the meeting and circulate to all relevant stakeholders

Person Specification

  • Solid experience of taking minutes accurately and quickly
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Familiar with working confidentially
  • Able to carry out tasks in an environment that often deals with sensitive and sometimes distressing information
  • Strong IT and typing skills
  • Good listening skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Able to type up the minutes to an agreed deadline
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
  • Prepared to and sign the charity’s confidentiality and safeguarding policies
  • Prepared to undertake a full induction and training
