We are recruiting to the following roles:

Cook/Catering Supervisor

To prepare and present a set menu catering provision for our residential guests.

Key to this role is the ability to prepare a home-cooked, high quality evening meal with an emphasis on special dietary requirements. Part time, minimum 16 hours per week, 6 month fixed term contract March – August 2018.


  • Menu planning and preparation of high quality, home-cooked set menu evening meal for up to 45 people
  • Manu planning for special dietary requirements such as gluten and lactose free and vegetarian options
  • Preparation of packed lunches
  • Maintain, order and control food stocks within budget
  • Check deliveries as required and placing in appropriate storage areas
  • Supervision of kitchen team members
  • Cleaning and tidying the kitchen at the end of each shift.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen, dining room and any other rooms at the Centre used for the consumption of food prepared in the Centre’s kitchen
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are met at all times

Person Specification

  • Food hygiene qualification level 2
  • Catering qualification desired
  • Undertaken work of a similar nature
  • Enthusiastic

  • Prepared to work flexible and unsocial hours

Competitive salary dependent on experience

Part time Dining Room/Kitchen Assistants

  • Help to prepare and serve meals
  • Clean and tidy dining room and kitchen
  • Breakfast and dinner shifts
  • Approx 18hours per week
  • Minimum age 16 years
  • Good rate of pay
  • Some weekend work in summer holidays

Volunteer Marketing Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated individual to help our Marketing Manager deliver the charity’s marketing and fundraising activities.

  • Help with the production of content for our website, BLOG, newsletters and social media channels
  • Maintain our CRM system
  • Get involved with community and event fundraising
  • Help with corporate partnership research
  • Would suit a student looking for work experience
  • Must have a friendly and helpful personality
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Publisher and Mailchimp would be useful
