All Stars After School Club launches Friday 15th June thanks to the generosity of the Remembering Nell Foundation

On Wednesday 9th May we were delighted to welcome Sam and Emma from the Remembering Nell Foundation, along with Amy Welch from Granada Reports, to the Wingate Centre to meet some of the people who will be joining-in the fun at our brand new All Stars Sports Club!

All Stars will launch on June 15th 2018 and will run on Friday evenings, 5-7pm. We know from experience and feedback that our children can’t always easily access after-school activities and we want to change that by making sporting activities accessible to all. All Stars will offer fitness, fun and friendship to 5-16 year-olds and includes activities such as football, rugby, kurling, archery, boccia, hockey and more, as well as offering parent/carers the chance to catch up over a coffee.

It is thanks to the Remembering Nell Foundation that we are able to launch All Stars next month. Their generosity has funded our new All Stars equipment, from giant games to dodgeballs and sports nets. Nell, loved to help others, so, to build a lasting legacy to her and celebrate her life, Nell’s family and friends have set up a foundation in her name. Nell’s Foundation will help to improve the lives and wellbeing of young people in the North West by supporting and introducing people to new charities and we are honoured to have been chosen as one of their three nominated charities for 2018.
