Outdoor play areas

The Wingate Centre is set within 3 acres of stunning secure grounds in the heart of the Cheshire Countryside and there are gorgeous views from all aspects of the Centre. The Centre has two main play areas.

PlaygroundTo one side of the building there is a Play Dale Adventure playground with scramble nets, log climbs and a traverse wall. It is low level and set in lush lawns. Adjacent to it is a wheelchair accessible play area with games boards, swings and a large, safe, surfaced area for wheelchair games.

The other play area has Trim Trail keep fit equipment that forms a fitness trail suitable for all ages and abilities. In this area there is also a large lawn with football nets for ball games and a draughts/chess board.

Sensory gardenIn another part of the garden there is a wildlife area with trees, bushes and plants all chosen for their attractive colours. Guests at the Centre will be fascinated at how much wildlife they can see in the evenings with rabbits, bats, foxes, owls and hawks all visiting the gardens. The grounds of the Centre are filled with plants chosen for their sensory appeal with herbs providing interesting smells and others with soft textured leaves. Plants have been audited for safety.

There are extensive seating areas throughout the grounds to allow relaxation and careful supervision of the children at play.
