The Wingate Centre does not receive any government funding and we rely on voluntary contributions from generous individuals, companies, community groups and charitable trusts.
We need your help in order to survive and raise the sum of £300,000 each year to continue our life-changing work.
Whether you are an individual, a group of friends or a community group, there are lots of ways you can make a difference!
One of the most enjoyable ways to support us is to carry out your own exciting fundraising event! From bake sales and coffee mornings, to sponsored hikes and cycle rides, some fantastic events have taken place on our behalf thanks to our amazing supporters. This not only helps us to raise vital funds but it also helps us to raise our profile within the community! We love to share our supporters’ stories on our website and social media channels too and we will work closely with you to ensure you enjoy your fundraising activities and achieve your aims.
If you’d like to chat about your fundraising ideas and how you can help c then please give Sarah a call on 01270 780456 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We also host our own fundraising events throughout the year that we’d love to welcome you to. You can find out more information about forthcoming events here.
Or you could donate a raffle or auction prize. We’d love to hear from you.
How does your fundraising help?
Your money really does go such a long way here at The Wingate Centre. As a result of the dedication and loyalty of our team, our volunteers and the efficient way in which we operate, over 92p in every £1 of income goes directly towards enriching the lives of children and young adults who come to us for holidays and recreational activities.
Here is an example of how your money can help:
- £10 will pay for special food for a child with digestive problems.
- £50 pays for an item of tactile equipment to encourage movement and co-ordination in a profoundly disabled child.
- £200 will pay for a child to have a holiday of a lifetime here at The Centre
- £1500 will pay for a fully padded bed surround for a child with involuntary movement or epilepsy.
- £5000 will support a 4 night stay for group of 25 children.
