Thanks Atos

As part of their induction the Atos graduates have been coming to the Wingate Centre since June 2016. Although the main focus is on helping the Wingate Centre, it is also a valuable learning experience allowing great leadership opportunities, project management and collaborative teamwork. Today the Atos Graduates have spent the day trying to help with this great cause. With grouped working on gardening, painting and general maintenance, we have collectively worked to improve the experience for the children and their families who will be visiting the Wingate Centre in the upcoming weeks.

Throughout the day the graduates have been implementing skills learnt during their induction into a real life situation. When speaking about what they have taken away from the day they said:

‘Our day at the Wingate Centre was extremely rewarding and I felt satisfied knowing I was helping others‘ – Luke

‘The work done at the Wingate Centre is inspirational, learning about the hard work that goes on behind the scenes really hit home and it was great to know I contributed even a small amount to the experiences the children will have.’Jess

‘It’s nice to be in a position to help others, it has also been a really great learning opportunity in how to support a team as a leader.‘  – Nathan

There is no greater feeling than putting in hard work for others, today has really shown me that and inspired me to do more charitable work in the future. Knowing that Atos graduates have contributed almost £60,000 worth of charity is a motivating factor to continue the good work.‘ – Elliot

It’s safe to say that on behalf of ourselves and the whole Atos team that we are incredibly proud of the hard work put in by everyone. Knowing that our work here is not only for the benefit of the children but also the wonderful staff who work tirelessly to create once in a lifetime experience for visitors to the Wingate Centre. Our time at the Wingate Centre has really highlighted how important it is to give back to the community, not just through donations but also through gifting your time, which is just as valuable as funding support.
