Our Head of Sport & Recreation, Natalie, has been nominated for Coach of the Year (North), and The Wingate Centre is a finalist in the Beyond Inclusion Award category. Both nominations celebrate our ongoing commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and community impact in gymnastics.

These achievements reflect the dedication of our entire team. From Natalie’s leadership in Sport & Recreation to the tireless work of our Fundraising, Client Engagement, and Administrative teams, every single person plays a role in delivering programmes that are inclusive, accessible, and tailored to the needs of those we support.
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news!!

Natalie has been part of The Wingate Centre family for nine years, drawing on her background in PE and special needs education to develop a wide-ranging programme including Rebound Therapy, Disability Fitness, Gymnastics, and more. Her approach is all about building confidence, encouraging participation, and promoting wellbeing.

Since our founding in 1988 by a group of parents who recognised the power of gymnastics for children with disabilities, our mission has remained the same: making sport and physical activity welcoming and accessible to all.
