Get involved with Legat Owen’s £40k fundraiser – and help the Wingate

The Wingate Centre is thrilled to be among a select few local charities chosen by property firm Legat Owen for their £40k fundraising drive.

The company – which has offices in Nantwich, Chester and Liverpool – is celebrating its 40th anniversary throughout 2026 by raising £40,000 for four local charities.

Frances Brown, Wingate’s Partnership & Engagement Lead, joined representatives from the three other local charities to meet the team at Legat Owen. It was a chance for her to thank the company and talk about the work the Wingate does to provide inclusive residential, sport and recreational facilities for children and adults.

Frances said: “We’re delighted Legat Owen has picked the Wingate as one of the good causes to benefit from their generous fundraising initiative as they mark their 40th birthday.

“As an independent charity we rely on the generosity of our supporters and local community to help raise the £593,000 needed each year to continue our life-changing work.

“We’re grateful for the backing of local businesses, organisations and everyone who gets behind us to help brighten the lives of children and adults with special education needs and disabilities.”

As well as the Wingate, the three other charities who will benefit from the fundraising are The Joshua Tree, Save the Family, and RASASC (Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre).

40k fundraising campaign

Legat Owen, which specialises in providing commercial and residential property advice, is encouraging the local community to get involved in its 40th anniversary fundraising activities.

A spokesman for Legat Owen said: “We’re setting ourselves an ambitious goal: to raise £40,000 for local charities that make a real difference in our community.

“Throughout the year, we will be taking part in a series of events and challenges as we work towards our £40k target and we look forward to sharing our progress.

“Every donation, big or small, helps us give back to the region that has supported us for four decades. Join us in celebrating 40 years of Legat Owen by helping those who need it most.”
