Intrepid Legat Owen cyclists pedal towards charity target

There's no stopping the Legat Owen team from reaching their 40th anniversary charity target.

And we couldn't be more delighted.

The Wingate Centre is among a select few local charities chosen by the company to benefit from a share of their £40k fundraising bid as they celebrate four decades in business this year.

The property firm has already raised almost £30,000 to date and is now working on the final push towards its total.

400km cycle ride – in just 40 hours

Their challenges so far have included walking the historic Chester City Walls non-stop for 40 hours.

And their latest endeavour will see team member Gareth Joyce cycling 400km (248 miles) in just 40 hours.

Gareth will embark on his epic endurance ride on 15 and 16 August, pedalling from Chester to Holyhead and back.

A spokesman for Legat Owen says: "It is a huge physical and mental challenge, but one driven by a desire to give back to the communities that have supported Legat Owen over the past four decades."

Gareth won't be alone on his journey, as his colleagues Elliot Jones, Will Sadler, Matt Pochin, Will Rees and Hannah Baker will be joining him for sections of the route.

Support Gareth's challenge and help the Wingate

If you're along the North Wales coast that weekend, keep an eye out for the team and give them a wave.

Most importantly, if you're able to donate, every contribution, no matter the size, will help Legat Owen support The Wingate Centre, The Joshua Tree, Save the Family and RASASC (Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre).
